Used to cost roughly 6,500 USD to make full 12s. Take it into account everything is now 30% more, gold costs of runes is now 12x higher. No 500 pack of Crystal chips, roughly a cost of 8,000+ now for full 12s,

Doing just 12s and 11s. Probably 5,500-6000

The above image displays the gold cost to make an 11 and 12.
Mathematically you can easily figure out the price in crystals but I'll do it for you.

To make a level 11:
3,983,568.7067 gold divided by the current exchange rate of 66 = 60,357 crystals PER LEVEL 11 RUNE

In USD: $826.90
In EURO: €603.57

To make a level 12:
8,082,181.0165 gold divided by the current exchange rate of 66 = 122,457 crystals PER level 12 RUNE

In USD: $1677.66
In EURO: €1224.57

Adding in a bonus here for you because it's slow at work today.

The above image displays the gold cost to make a 13.
Mathematically you can easily figure out the price in crystals but I'll do it for you.

To make a level 13:
16,342,361.9417 gold divided by the current exchange rate of 66 = 247,612 crystals PER level 13 RUNE

In USD: $3,392.28
In EURO: €2476.12

To make FULL SETS of these rune levels, simply multiply by 6.

6 level 11 runes:
In gold: 20,901,412.2402
In USD: $4,961.40
In EURO: €3,621.42

6 level 12 runes:
In gold: 48,493,086.0990
In USD: $10,065.96
In EURO: €7,347.42

6 level 13 runes:
In gold: 98,054,171.6502
In USD: $20,353.68
In EURO: €14,856.72

Hope this helps answer any questions people have about high level rune construction.
Oh also, yes, runes are now about 25% more expensive thanks to the new change in crystal chip prices!

That is so damn sick...
I feel like people with 13s should've donated those insane amounts of money to some kind of charity...

in light of these numbers, do you guys think it's ok? I mean, I know the old argument about "You don't need 13s, 7s are fine", but still, having something in your game that costs that much money (full level 13s are around my salary for the whole year) makes me feel weird.

its similar to gaming PCs
you can have only a few % more performance for almost x2 the price
the higher the performance the worse the cost / reward ratio gets

7s ARE fine

if i face a player with level 13 runes or similar im like "thanks for paying for my game" and thats it
IF 1 vs 1 him and dying its worth playing the game for free imo
and btw there are some high-runes players which still lose to those with lower runes, im sure you know what i mean ;)
once gear is equal runes do not matter so much as most ppl think

just think about shooter games, there are cheaters (aimbot etc) and here we have only extreme high runes, but very rare
both are things you cannot defeat in most cases, so in the end its somehow the same, just another player with large superiority - something thats almost everytime is present in online multiplayer games...

Uhhh what?
Once gear is equal and skill is equal, the ONLY thing that WOULD matter would be rune level lol.
That is horribly flawed logic.

in theory YES

...but skill is almost never the same
i thought runes matter more some time ago
but i have seen so many fights now, i am comfortable to say that runes are one of the minor factors in the whole picture

spec and stat-distribution matter so much now, more than ever before

ofc there are players with high runes AND skill, proper spec stats etc etc
these are the best then

Hello,

About damages bonus depending on rune levels :

Quoted

Level of runes: Lets pretend again that we deal 100 damage without runes.
1: 110 damage dealt. 110/100 = 1.1 = 10% increase from last lvl
2: 120 damage dealt. 120/110 = 1.09 = 9% increase from last lvl
3: 130 damage dealt. 130/120 = 1.083 = 8.3% increase from last lvl
4: 140 damage dealt. 140/130 = 1.077 = 7.7% increase from last lvl
5: 150 damage dealt. 150/140 = 1.071 = 7.1% increase from last lvl
6: 160 damage dealt. 160/150 = 1.067 = 6.7% increase from last lvl
7: 170 damage dealt. 170/160 = 1.0625 = 6.25% increase from last lvl
8: 180 damage dealt. 180/170 = 1.059 = 5.9% increase from last lvl
9: 190 damage dealt. 190/180 = 1.056 = 5.6% increase from last lvl
10: 200 damage dealt. 200/190 = 1.052 = 5.2% increase from last lvl
11: 210 damage dealt. 210/200 = 1.05 = 5% increase from last lvl
12: 220 damage dealt. 220/210 = 1.048 = 4.8% increase from last lvl
13: 230 damage dealt. 230/220 = 1.045 = 4.5% increase from last lvl

And about patronage :

Quoted

No Patron – 1500 per hit – 0% more damages

Patron 1 – 2250 per hit – 50% more damages
Patron 2 – 3000 per hit – 33% more damages
Patron 3 – 3750 per hit – 25% more damages
Patron 4 – 4500 per hit –20% more damages
Patron 5 – 5250 per hit –16.7% more damages

Maybe spending on Pat 5 is a better idea than getting lvl 13 runes for some players that can't afford the price of high lvl runes :).

Don't forget about scrolls from strongboxes which give bonus stat
points. Was it +20 stat point? I don't quite remember the exact amount.
But if You add all those bonus skill points in proficiency You get potentially +20%
dmg boost.

Combining all that potential dmg bonus:

+120% from full 13 runes
+250% from pat5
+20% from stat points from strongboxes

I think Everyone gets pat 4 for free during leveling, which is +200% dmg so comparing non-cash-shoper with full cash shoper

=190% instant dmg increase :D Allmost 2 times as much damage as someone without runes, patronage
From ZERO to a HERO in seconds :D

Feel free to correct that numbers.

In raw numbers it would be but it's not exactly like that.
For example the change from pat 4 to pat 5 isn't a raw 50% increase in dps rather ((250/200)100%) a 25% increase compared to the old dps/heals.

It also applies to the stat points from strongboxes. Unless you don't have any proficiency, which is the only stat that scales with stats = %, your damage won't actually get boosted by 20% compared to your old damage. For example I have 60 profi with the 20 stats it would be 80.
(80/60)100% = 11% increase.

Same goes for 13 vs 7's for the sake of average runes.. (130/70)100% = 85%

85+25+11= 121. Still a lot but not 200%

Specs and skill yes, but stat distibution; not as important to balance since 5.0. It was said by the devs that the new stat system meant that even badly loaded stats would only knock out your dps by a max of 10%. Under the old system, you could screw your dps and heals up completely by not balancing your stats properly and the balance would also depend on the enemy you were fighting.

They simplified the stat system to make it easier for players to understand, but in the process put the emphasis on gear and runes. We used to be able to kill top tier players because they were stat balanced for PvE over PvP. Your stat balance used to be crucial. Not so much now.

Cheers!

thats true, however if you optimize your offensive attributes you can still get a noteable advantage

for example putting determination on a mage is most likely a big waste since in the majority of time as a mage your determination will be 0% and so on

also for mages brutality does matter less than for example wardens (at least for leveling) etc
