Update 7.0.2: "Blazing Skies" – Combat Training!

Dear Sarnaut,

There are many great features and changes being brought forth by Update 7.0.2 – yet one in particular, while not ground breaking, has a lot of potential use for upcoming raiders and dominion enthusiasts looking to take their game to the next level: Combat Training!

Dominion Training

If there’s potential for more than one raid group in your guild, how do you know which one will perform best in Dominion? In update 7.0.2, there will be a certain way to help figure this out: your guild’s raids will be able to battle each other and let the outcome speak for itself!

These custom battles can be held any time on any day except for Wednesday evenings (the day regular raid Dominion battles take place). There are no class restrictions, and people may access this feature even without a raid. Bear in mind that the only reward one may achieve from practice battles is experience and knowledge, always useful for the rated versions.

Arena Training

Some players prefer to remain lone wolves in PvP activities, or don’t have a permanent party to battle alongside. However, those who wish for more insight into 3v3 and 6v6 combat will be able to avail of training arenas (utilizing rated arena format).

Training battles can be joined either by single characters or incomplete parties. Just like Dominion training, there are no restrictions on classes or the number of visits.

Participating in arena training does not affect your rating, although winning does provide 25 Combat Emblems. This allows players to receive rewards at Gaal-Bran the Gloomy even if they don’t have a permanent team. Also, this can come in handy when you need to earn some more Combat Emblems to receive your weekly reward.

These two features, and many more, will be heading your way soon - so stay tuned for additional 7.0.2 insights in the near future!
