[PMB] Xappy's Broken Chains 6.0 Psionicist



.INTRODUCTION
I AM XAPPY! (|:3, of Warsong!
gyaaaaahahahahohohohehehehe!

Main role: Single target & area of effect support.
Secondary roles: crowd control, buffs, escape & give mana.

Gibberling Psi trio with power balls. I like this because I can do good burst damage and also
support like give mana, poof everyone to safety, pull things into a bunch & throw them && I can go back in time! & I can talk to other psis! (although I never know how many psis I am talking to :P)

The 6.0 Broken Chains patch brought us psi changed rubies. For Player versus Enemy (PVE), our long CrowdControl (CC) abilities have improved & we can burst damage even better, so my PVE build has improved burst damage with CC & other supports. For Player versus Player (PVP), we can do better stuns and give heal debuffs, so I can
have a mass PVP support build or a small group PVP attack build.

PVE Stats
Useful stats:
"Proficiency" increases damage%
"Brutality" increases damage% as the targets health goes down.
"Vitality" increases hit points%
"Bloodlust" heals you when you deal damage.

Stats to focus on would be vitality, and a balance of brutality and proficiency. You want to get enemy hitpoints down with proficiency so you can do extra damage with your brutality.

PVE Leveling [TALENTS]

[Psychic Shock] r3. An instant cast damage skill. Gives you a chance to get a concentration buff which is used to cast your highest damage skill[Pain Transfer]. While leveling, you can only take on 1 enemy at a time and you will want to be able to move to stay out the way of other enemies. After you agro an enemy you can keep using it while running to a safe place to fight.

[Mental link] r2. Increases your damage to the target by 20%. Allows use of [Erase Memory] extra skill which is instant cast and does double damage when enemy hitpoint is below 30%. r2 Reduces cast time to 2.5s. Sometimes when you want to link an enemy from max distance it moves out of range. So a faster cast time makes this happen less but it is not worth r3 for another 0.5s cast time reduction.

[Pain Transfer] r3. Your highest damage skill, use it whenever you can. Needs 1 concentration buff to cast

[Twin] r3. Makes a twin of you which your enemy will attack and teleport you away in a random direction. r3 for your twin to take the least damage. Make sure there are no other enemies near when casting this as this teleports you in a random
direction and you may agro other mobs. Also it gives the enemy a anti-twin buff which does not let you twin it again for 1min.

[Concentration] r1.Gives you 2 concentration buffs for you to cast [Pain Transfer]. Since you can get concentration buffs easily from [Psychic Shock], this can be used whenever its available.

[Ectoplasmatic Form] r3.Gives you a shield that will last for maximum of 13s. Useful for survival.

[Mental Pulse] r2. Knocks back enemies near you and stuns them for 2.5s. r2 because it will have shorter cooldown & stun longer. Not worth putting more points for r3 bonus.

[Choke] r3. Damage over 8s channeling spell that slows the enemy. Does good damage (about 3-4 [Pain Transfer] worth of damage). Cast [Twin] before this so you can use [Twin] again earlier.

[Telekinetic Pull] r2. Pulls enemies in an area to a target location and knocks them down for a short while. I use this to pull the enemy away from my casted [Twin]. Not worth putting more points for r3 bonus.

[Temporal Acceleration] r3. Decreases cooldown for [Psychic Shock],[Erase Memory] by half and increases movement speed. Use this for enemies where you need to kill faster, or to run away from groups of mobs.

[Astral Venom] r3. Upgrade of [Psychic Shock]. Maximum rank you can get is the same as the rank of your [Psychic Shock].

[AstralBody] r3. Upgrade of [Ectoplasmatic Form]. Last 14s. Maximum rank you can get is the same as therank of your [Ectoplasmatic Form].

[Destabilization] r3. Upgrade of [Pain Transfer]. Maximum rank you can get is the same as the rank of your [Pain Transfer].

[Thoughful Spirit] r3. Spammable skill with maximum of 5 charges which refills over time. Use it for burst damage.

Unused skills

[Pyrokinesis]/[Pyrolysis]
is an alternate basic damage spell which has a 2.5s cast time which can be interrupted.

[Hypnosis]
requires a link and your damage will be reduced if you are fighting something else.

[Mental Cleansing] is too weak with its long cooldown.

[Wall of Blades] is an area of effect skill and while leveling fighting more than 1
enemy of same level will likely kill you.

[Seal of Health] cannot be used with a 'damage increasing' ruby skill [Aura of
Potency].

[Phantasmal Killer] is weak and needs 2 concentration buffs to cast. It is better to use
the buffs for [Pain Transfer].

[Will Suppression] requires rubies for a 20% damage bonus. Cannot use [Twin] with this link.

[Astral breath] is a area of effect skill with long cooldown. While leveling fighting
more than 1 enemy of same level will likely kill you.

Make sure area is safe before using twin. Telekinetic pull away from twin. Use Concentration/Pain Transfer/Destabilization whenever you can. Use mental pulse when enemy reaches you after twin dies. Use ectoplasmatic body when enemy reaches you again. When enemy has less than 30% hitpoints spam erase memory. Use temporal acceleration before spamming erase memory. Use ectoplasmatic form then superficial trance to get mana. Use loop of time if you are going to die.

PVE EndGame [TALENTS]

[Mental link] rank 1. Increases your damage to the target by 20%. Used mainly on bosses before a fight so you can [Twin] them. For other enemies I use [Will Supression]

[Pain Transfer] r3. Your highest damage skill, use it whenever you can. Needs 1 concentration buff to cast

[Pyrokinesis] r3. r3 as this is used for normal attacks and burst damage

[Twin] r1. Makes a twin of you which your enemy will attack and teleport you away in a random direction. Use this to avoid being target by bosses or to instantly move out of an area of effect attack zone.

[Concentration] r1.Gives you 2 concentration buffs for you to cast [Pain Transfer]. Since you can get concentration buffs easily from [Psychic Shock], this can be used whenever its available.

[Ectoplasmatic Form] r2.
Gives you a shield that will last for maximum of 11s. r2 to use talent points for other skills

[Hypnosis] r2.Used to disable an enemy for 45 seconds. r2 so that you are able to cast it again before the enemy wakes up

[Mental Pulse] r2. Knocksback enemies near you and stuns them for 2.5s. r2 because it will have shorter cooldown & stun longer. Not worth putting more points for r3 bonus.

[Telekinetic Pull] r2. Pulls enemies in an area to a target location and knocks them down for a short while. Use this to pull groups of enemies together for area of effect support &[Wall of Blades] combo.

[Wall of Blades] r3. r3 for max physical damage since you will get rubies which increase physical damage.

[Seal of Health] r3. r3 for max health %bonus. This gives me another option in my support buff options.

[Temporal Acceleration] r3. r3 for shortest cooldown as this provides a way to do burst damage

[Will Supression] r2. r2 for balance between cd and talent points usage. Instant cast is useful for applying the 20% damage bonus ruby when dealing with another enemy

[Pyrolysis] r3. Upgrade of [Pyrokinesis]. Maximum rank you can get is the same as the rank of your [Pyrokinesis].

[Astral Body] r2. Upgrade of [Ectoplasmatic Form]. Last 13s. Maximum rank you can get is the same as the rank of your [Ectoplasmatic Form].

[Destabilization] r3. Upgrade of [Pain Transfer]. Maximum rank you can get is the same as the rank of your [Pain Transfer].

[Astral Breath] r1. when I get more talents i will put this at r2. An aoe attack that can hit everything within 25yards of you. However it has a long cooldown and is interruptable

[Thoughful Spirit] r3. Spammable skill with maximum of 5 charges which refills over time. Use it for burst damage.

Pre-cast Wall of Blades. Mental Link boss from max range b4 combat. Whenever boss targets you, you may use twin ‘dodge’ a potential attack. Spam pyro/destabilization with destabilization having priority. When your pyro reaches 6 stacks use temporal acceleration and spam pyro until the temporal acceleration effect is over, then repeat from pyro/destabilization. If another enemy appears and you have to attack it, use Will Supression and spam Pyro/Destabilization.

PVP Stats
Useful stats:

“Determination” increases damage% based on damage taken

Stats to focus on would be vitality, and a balance of determination, proficiency & determination. In PVP you will get hit a lot and players might heal themselves, so proficiency and determination will have higher priority than
brutality. I would have them distributed at almost equal percentage. Weapon to equip will be a dagger an an off-hand for more resistances.

When the healer is getting ganked, wait for the healers to use their immune buffs if they have, then after their buff ends use {depression} heal debuff on them. [Mental Link] and spam [concentration][venom][destab], when their health is <30% spam[thoughtful spirit]>[temporal acceleration]>spam [erase memory].
Or
Precast
[WoB]. Use [TK Pull]>[WoB]. Retreat and precast [WoB] for use when [TK Pull] cooldown ends. Target low health enemies, [Mental Link], spam [mental pulse] [erase memory]. Use [Will Supression] for immobilizing healthy targets and spam [Astral Body][Mental Pulse][venom][destab].

Reincarnation skill [flash] can help in chasing enemies to [mental pulse] or retreating.

.Racial & World Mystery Skills

Race specific skills:
Xadaganians = Sonic Wave - stuns targets in a cone shape for 4 secs. 2min cooldown
Gibberlings = Elevated Insight - immune to physical for 5 secs. 2min cooldown
Arisen = Magic Armor -immune to magic for 5 secs. 2min cooldown
Elves = Concentration Anticipation - Grants 3 stacks of concentration. 3min cooldown

All these skills can be made available by getting 'Page from the Book of Secrets' from the item shop.
Note that they share cooldowns. I only use Elevated Insight or Magic Armor for protection when needed.

World Mystery Skills:
Premonition - Buff. Message appears when an invisible enemy is nearby or when an enemy has targeted you.
Brilliant Aura -Passive. Restores 1% mana every 8 secs.
Gift of Tensess - Spell. 20hr cooldown skill to resurrect allies out of combat.

Recommended Reincarnations for their skills:
Healer for their [holy shield] (5min cooldown) which is like a more powerful ecto which removes most debuffs. Useful for PVP.
Or [divine foresight] (3min cooldown) which heals you when you are below 35% health. Useful for PVE.

Mages for their [flash] (40s cooldown) which teleports. Useful for PVP.
Or [barrier] (45s cooldown) which allows you to absorb physical or magical damage. Useful for PVE.
